"We want to show a strong commitment and leadership by Swedish enterprises, municipalities and organisations that want to make a fossil-free society possible. This is how we point the way towards a sustainable future."

Fossil Free Sweden initiative
Bridging the gap between international and subnational climate action, ACTS takes a closer look at Swedish initiatives as well as transnational activities.
Key cases in Sweden
Various initiatives in Sweden aim to foster sustainability and climate-friendly development. However, their backgrounds, structures, and understandings of how to achieve these broad goals vary significantly.
Transnational perspective
Beyond these Swedish cases, the project aims to investigate the multiple and complex interactions between subnational, national and international policy-making. A transnational perspective will, therefore, add to the Swedish context and showcase interrelations between different levels of policy-making.
